Land Rover Chesterfield - good/bad/???

New D4 needs a service booking and I may well be in Chesterfield for a little in the coming weeks - how do they stack up as a main dealer for regular maintenance? I need them to explicitly apply a couple of TSB’s - any ideas how amenable they will be to this or should I expect the usual “we’re the main dealer, we know more than you!” attitude?! Cheers,

Gordon lamb in chesterfield should be ok, they are an old family firm that’s had to move with the 5imes and jump to JLR standards but still approachable. I’ve always found that it’s how you let the dealer know you know more than they do as to how much of the corporate we are the dealers attitude ouzes out and flows your way.
Ask, worst case is they can only say no

Hi,
they are no longer a stand alone but part of the Farnell group.
which I think is owned by Vertu and they also own Bristol street motors and others...

Not used them for some time so no idea what they are like now, nice carrot cake is all I can pass comment on, that was good last year Whistle

Don't let them was your car as I'm sure they must use a Brillo pad instead of a sponge - they made a right mess of mine some years ago and I haven't been back since Big Cry

personally I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.

several years ago - yes - good, honest decent family run franchise
most recent experience (3 years ago) under the Farnell umbrella - totally disgusting treatment, total lack of knowledge of their own product, scruffy sales staff and unbelievably arrogant senior sales management.

but then again maybe they have all changed now and give a good level of service. Whistle 2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten

My neighbor has a RRS, he got fed up of Hunters in Derby so he goes to Chesterfield now and says good things..

I have to agree with him over Hunters, Although Derby have just moved into a nice shiny new place with Jag on one side and LR on the other.. Maybe they overhauled the staff at the same time.. Disco4 MY16 SDV6 Landmark Black
