FYI
For those that are keeping their car over 3 years and want extended warranty. Please be aware that you can only buy the extended warranty if your vehicle has done less than 80,000 miles. If your dealer tells you its not available yet they are lying, I have extended warranty and here is the contact details.

The cover outlined in the dealer brochures show that after 60K miles the cover is very reduced.

Does outline for vehicles up to 80K miles at this reduced level too.

Allegiance I think its called ??

Is this the additional years warranty you are on about ?

There are varying options available. I think costs are reflected by the mileage that the vehicle has already covered. I am not aware of any restrictions after 60k but then I have not read the book. I have the Allegiance Plus the cost was about £842.

I will scan the booklet and post whats covered if you want me to Rolling Eyes

Did you purchase before 60K or after ?

From memory I think you need to purchase before the 60K mark to get Allegiance Plus. Else you have to get the purchase before 80K for the much reduced cover.

Going by memory of the brochure I read recently. Debating either a pex at three years (80K ish miles) or extending for a fourth but nervous year.

What's 'MOT cover' in the course of the warranty? Is it that LR will pay for work to get the car through an MOT or is it just to cover any recharge fees?

Thumbs Up
I think I might see how the 'old hands' go with their 54 models with regard to reliability before following this up - £800 is quite a few notes for a year's policy.

compared to the prices I've heard of for some of the 'ultra reliable' German makes, £850 for a years peace of mind
sounds pretty reasonable especially when you factor in the sort of hourly labour rates the dealers charge? you'd only need one fairly minor electronic or mechanical failure and you'd be quids in I would think,

Do you sign up for extra cover when your 3 years is up or do you have to do it well in advance.

Si, I'd get the extended cover anyway, as it stays with the vehicle it makes it a more attractive PX or private sale

It also gives you full Landrover Assistance cover so the price is not that bad.
