The G4 one's are twin filament units by Warn, ......
Ken has the LR A bar ones on his rack,
Slimer has the Lightforce 170's on his
AndrewS has PIAA units on his.....
Me, I dont have any on mine (and i'm not planning to )
Lot's of different opinions although the general one is that the Warn lights are not that good

Chris, not sure who makes the LR ones, but the optics are a lot better than the stock Warn's (they should stick to something they're good at - like making winches )
Ken, Yes, I know 8) 8) 8)

here's the reason I don't like roof - mounted lights
note the spill onto the windscreen, picking up all the dust and the bounce from the bonnet - a lot of output wasted and bounced back at the driver / Nav. which will reduce the effectiveness of the long & medium range output due to the loss of contrast
The PIAA's and Lightforce optics are a lot better but will still suffer from a degree of edge striation - the almost prismatic output caused by the outer edge roll-off of the reflectors being optically imperfect, so there'll still be some close range spill...

They look as though they need to raised up to prevent the bounce somewhat21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I really want them for the look rather than function, Although they will come in handy when dumb car drivers flash me thinking my full beam are on

just go for the best you (or Mrs. Chris200100) can afford, better reflectors & lenses = less glare
Just remember that the front lens is just as much a part of the optics as the reflector and lamp - even if it appears to be flat and clear

Mrs chris200100 isn't a happy bunny, Since i've been out with you lot i'm trying to convince her that i need all these bits.
shes given in on the MTRS and 19" wheels
She thinks it makes the car ugly with all the lamps on it but has given in aslong as there the LR ones
