Lakeland Land Rover

Just had a good quote from RPJ at Lakeland for my 2nd service so it looks like a day in the Lakes for me even with the diesel it's still worth the trip.

Even with the cost of the diesel being borne by your own pocket they are still worth the trip Wink

The 'other' Ryan is better than RPJ though - he doesn't call you names on the forum!!! Laughing

He can call me what he likes as long as I get a good deal on the service.

Just seen the site and the comments about Lakeland - felt that they were so good I had to register and say my piece...

My father-in-law broke his leg badly and after recovery had to have a Disco2 Auto, but the local dealer couldn't find one, so we turned to the net and found one at Lakeland. Did a deal with Ryan Sim and Paul over the phone after they emailed us some really clear photos and after four hours travelling were not disappointed with either the vehicle, deal or customer service.

A couple of months after bringing the vehicle home, had a minor problem which our local dealer (Greens, Haverfordwest) didn't want to know about, even though the vehicle was under LR approved warranty. The F-in-Law was not happy after buying FIVE Discos off them in the past (2 x used, 2 x demo, 1 x new), so he rang Paul at Lakeland who couldn't do enough to help. Knowing that we had to have an auto, they sent a technician down in new Disco3 Auto, took our Disco2 back for a few days and brought it back completely fixed. I've owned a few makes of vehicle over the years (eg Mazda, VW & Audi) and I can't think of any dealer that would make an eight hour round trip to keep a customer happy.

Well done Lakeland! We bought the father-in-law's old Disco2 manual and when the time comes to change it I know where we're going to look for a replacement.....!

Cheers guys

Taking mine into Torver on Wednesday for its first service - hope these guys are as good as you all say!

Planning on having a days piking on Coniston whilst I'm up there. Fortunately, my mate lives within walking distance of the garage so should be a good day, weather permitting.
