Lake District forecasted rain and routes
We're off to the Lake District on Sunday for the first time - Given the weather forecast for the next 48 hours (heavy rain), are there any off road routes that I should avoid? Also are there any routes that I should definitely not miss out on?!!!
I should add that the car is tip top (recent service, winch overall, rock sliders, underbody protection, new tyres etc) and we have an extensive kit list and a bit of experience too (just not in the Lake District).
If anyone is around from Tuesday onwards and fancies meeting up for an off road drive, let me know!
Any information gratefully received!
Thanks in advance

The river crossing on breast high road could be interesting if we have a lot of rain.

To be fair, I'd only expect nothing but rain at the Lakes

Tilberthwaite is currently closed for "repairs" and won't reopen until Christmas. Then you'll be able to drive a Toyota Aygo along it. MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added
MY2019 D5 HSE 3.0 SDV6 - sold to a dealer for a crazy price! - So good I bought another!
MY2012 D4 HSE 3.0 SDV6 - retired to a new home

Thanks for the comments!
Ended up with perfect weather all week. Climbed Scafell Pike and Helvellyn (Striding Edge), went Ghyll scrambling, did Via Ferratta, and had a full day 4x4-ing. It was awesome! Found some amazing pubs and restaurants and around every corner or brow, the Lakes revealed yet another amazing view. Can't wait to go back!
I got sent a link to a Total Off Road Roadbook (from a very kind individual on the Facebook Discovery 3 and 4 Owners Group) and simply followed the routes. A great day out with the family. The kids read the maps and followed the routes and the wife and I shared the driving. Didn't get any kit out (waffle boards, winch etc) just used the car as it should be used and got up and down everything with ease.
Awesome!
Love my D3!
