Is it possible to get into the car if the system fails for some reason(flat battery)? - with the D3 there is the emergency lock on the passenger door, what is there on the D4?It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

The same as on the D3. You can pull off this little thingy and open/close with the key from the fob. Cheers Patrick from Munich

Given the fragility of the emergency lock and how little, if any, servicing they get it is often easier to apply power to the car and open the vehicle normally if the problem is only a flat battery.

How do you apply power to a locked car? Only thing that comes to mind is via the tow electric, isn't it?Cheers Patrick from Munich

Tow electrics are the easiest but not always fitted. Clearly all D3s have power to the starter motor so that is a good 2nd choice even though it does mean crawling on the ground and gaining access from underneath.

Our friends have had issues with the car being unlocked as they walk past it - assumption has been that they have had the keyless entry fob on the keychain and it's unlocked the car as they walked past.
Not sure why it'd not just automatically re-lock after 30 seconds though.MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

Eh?
Keyless entry does not unlock the vehicle - you have to put your hand around the door handle for it to unlock and have the fob in close proximity to the door in question. Even if you do that without opening the door it re-locks itself.

Well after all of this I manned up and emailed the dealer who confirmed he'd change the spec. Came back to me today... Keyless isn't available on commercial???!!
I'm a bit confused as it isn't a secret that the commercial is just a modified car?
That's a shame was reading this & thinking that might be worth adding, bit like the sunroof I see no reason why it could not be an option - they are all added before they convert to commercial anywayPreviously those that have a special place in my heart
