Key Programming - Where?

Hi

I have a key that needs programming. I have one fully working key and another that just needs programming.

I'm in Derbyshire if that helps.

Actually just logged in to post about this.

I just managed to successfully program a second key today using an Autel AP200.

Key was a cheap 433MHz one from Aliexpress, blades were supplied by keysinthepost.com (fantastic service from keysinthepost - they were out of stock of blades so sent me two complete cases with cut blades - they can identify your key from the photo and cut using the LR key code!).

It's this one I bought (currently 55 quid on amazon, 47 from elsewhere). https://www.amazon.co.uk/Autel-Bluetooth-S...B07QCT1PC5

It was a little bit nerve wracking but I read the messages and followed the instructions on the Autel app and it worked!

Is this D4 key or D3 - its posted in the D4 section?

If its D4 keys you are into the issue of the car configuration and if it has had the later software patch that stops the car having extra keys added without a hardware change. Must stop buying shiny toys....

Looks like a USB jobby buy my D3 doesn't have USB...

The white unit plugs in to the OBDII port - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOv_5QqznHQ

It connects to your phone by bluetooth.

So do you have to buy the unit and then vehicle specific software? I get the impression that the first vehicle type is free. Is that right?

Hi Adri123, yes, have a look at the posts below, I’ve got one, you get a free manufacturer download when you buy so all land rover vehicles in our case. and it does calibrate suspension. Smile
