Key fobs still not working

Hello
Following a battery change both key remotes are not working
So today I removed checked and refitted the battery - no joy
I then checked fuse 43 okay but replaced anyway - no joy
I then check the 3 wire splice no corrosion at all so I chop and re soldered the connection - no joy
The central locking works internally and the imobaliser light is flashing so it's armed just can't remote lock the car
So where do I go now bearing in mind electrics ain't my best discipline
Any help or suggestions please
Henda

What about checking if they are still coded to the car.

Do you mean re programming the keys
Both key and fobs start the disco so I presume they are still coded to the car

After changing batteries, did you make sure no bits (tracks) were broken or shorted. When I did my batteries I used my Foxwell to rematch keys to car so that may be all that is needed.

I have no water ingress any where all completely dry
Only in a disco can you do a battery change and throw up a fault that's unfixable
Next step is to find the receiver and check the power there

Receivers up in the roof under the head lining alongside the centre light. I would still try syncing the keys

I have reprogrammed the keys using the iid tool
Might try a hard reset
Or do a restore factory settings see what that does

If you've got an IID how about getting a cheap fob from China, programming it and seeing if that works before pulling the headlining apart? If it's all gone PT after changing the batteries then chances are that's what's gone wrong.

The car battery every thing was fine before I changed the battery all is fine now except the key fobs don't work
I've re programed both keys
I've checked and replaced fuse 43
I've checked and rewired the 3 green splice
It's got me baffled
Confused
Cheers

Ah, I thought it was the batteries in the fobs. Embarassed

Try a hard reset via the IID. Thumbs Up

when you re-soldered the fob battery did you check for shorts or broken tracks. What was the original reason for changing fob batteries
Embarassed Need to read the original post instead of going off half cocked
