My main key is getting worn to the point I’ve got to fiddle with it to get it to turn in the lock, I went to use the spare but key battery dead, I’m not driving far in the disco is there any way if charging the key battery. Other than driving I.e. can I have key in 1st positionRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car

If it doesn't hold charge the replacement rechargeable battery is a VL2330 yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
Thanks for the replies I tried just putting it in the ignition but it didn’t do anything, I then went to work and it must have put some charge in as it worked after but not for ping it’s only a ten min drive to work I think I’ll order a replacement and see how we goRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car

I had trouble with fob battery dying on my D3. After a drive it had enough power to remote lock but by the next morning I had to use the manual lock in LH door. Rebuilt the board with a new battery & replacement case , its been OK since

i have just had a key stop working the buttons stopped working the key starts the car ok . now using the spare which is a non genuine replacement . the original key is on a toothbrush charger we will see if it helps . if it works all is good if not how hard is it to change a battery?
