Just took the plunge
Firstly a big thanks to all the advice i have received from here! Without it i would have made some very expensive mistakes.
We are now the proud owners of a 2007 Disco 3 HSE (chassis 8A)
Was by far the best example we have looked at, total history, some huge bills, and a very very fussy owner that had everything done under warranty including trims on the windows replaced.
It's had a very comperhensive history, with Turbo, actuator, belts, compressor, arms, bushes, keys, auto box service and new pan to name just some of the items. One bill was over 6k excl VAT.
Few little bits to do like replace a scratched tint, and a spider living inside a front lamp, but could not find anything else, despite trying!!!
Remainder of warranty until July is being transferred over so a little piece of mind for the time being.
Will post pics as soon as i can, and then start asking more questions!!
Again, big thank you for all the advice,
Stuart

Worth checking all the paperwork for the oil pump being replaced. If that's not been done it will need done ASAP. If it lets go then it's bye-bye engine.
Is that a piece of A4 blanking the numberplate? Very ingenious.
PS And a very nice looking original D3

given that this is an 8A chassis range, and not the 7A would the pump still need replaceing?

ISTR it's both, LR eventually fixed it a bit later (MY8.5 & MY09 I think). However I may be wrong, it happened once. It was a Tuesday, a long time ago in a galaxy far far away!!

Have sent a request to geoff and will get it done asap, and also get him to cast an eye over it.
Maybe also get him to talk me through some do's and don'ts and what to does what.
Need to get some mudflaps to stop all the debris and possibly some side steps? Suggestions on those welcome as I hear the factory flaps are not that great
