Just a rant
I have always enjoyed my cars ,from my first minivan to xjs BUT since i have purchased this disco 3 i have become a grumpy old Scot.
i paid £6k for this 2005 S V6 auto 145k miles It was an immaculate piece of it even came with 12 months MOT and I did enjoy my first month driving it
then i joined this forum a colossul encyclopedia of people willing to give their advise free of charge WOW! my dark brown altitude meter just hit the fan Broken cranks No!
Then you keep reading my head doth nip!
In the second month my rear brakes seized Sorted that! then the seat belt warning light came on sorted that by taking my wallet and phone off the passenger seat
I put it in for a service so i could get a stamp in the book they tell me my disc are worn ,so i order up new discs pads and seals all round and new shoes for the rear, in doing that i discover the front hub has a wobble!so i orders up a pair of hubs, thinking thats it! I procede to enjoy 10 months trouble free motoring.Ah but now its MOT time me thinks it will pass no problem HUH FAIL! drop links, lower suspension bushes, track rod ends rear propshaft center support bearing.headlights too high.
So i orders up the parts and sorted that. Im lucky in that mechanicly im fit to do these repairs only thing was the alignment which is still not perfect.
As was advised by one of the members I grabbed my balls and ventured down to Somerset to visit my son for a wee break a round trip of 1000miles the comfort was great compared to the previous year when i took the wifes SX4.
However between 60 to 70 mile an hour i have a slight wander in the steering.Do i fix it or do i get shutof?Yet there is somthing about this immaculate piece of that makes you want to keep it!
Just out of interest i contacted We Buy Any Car for a quote RATFLMFAO £2995 Aye rite I will just let it do as me and fade away. Rant Over. Dont buy it if you can make it.

Paragraphs are you friend😉
Sound pretty much like normal d3 wear & tear, nothing major, nothing to cry over
Just a few niggles, get um sorted and you will love your car again..
Fix what you can yourself and feel the self satisfaction

Don't worry about the weight of your wallet on the passenger seat setting off the seatbelt light, your D3 will certainly lighten it!Stu
