Just a quick Christmas Eve half day of work my :censored: !!!

As usual the buck stops with stupid here. Christmas callout. I like to do Christmas Eve in the hope of no call outs. Usually I’m away at a good time as a start early.

Get into the second factory and walk into a very noisy screw, massive pressure issues. Drain down and remove end casing to find a collapsed filter and the fragments gone through the screw!!

So much for Christmas!!!

I guess you are talking about a screw compressor? The rotor clearences are too tight for those bits to pass without damage to the rotors? Is it ruined? Richard

I would say so. It’s gonna have to run on a wing and a prayer as won’t get a new screw this side of new year. Oil change and new filter and keep fingers crossed. Awaiting instruction from customer. You remind me of a younger me, not much younger mind...perhaps even a little older!
