Any form of heating would be a step forward.
Make sure it's a condition of sale that it does not include the "temperature sensor feature"Long succession of Disco's since 2001...

The commercial doesn't have the EU6 engine, so it isn't affected by the cold hand syndrome.

Active headlamps - didn't know what I was missing until I tried them, but we do live where there's very little light pollution, so you really notice the improvement. Certainly more useful than auto dipping lamps which usually dip too late (and are then too slow to return to main beam), or even dip for reflective road signs!
Heated steering wheels must be an acquired taste; I had them in my last two LR's and didn't like them - it was all too easy to knock the switch on on a warm day (a hot steering wheel is pretty nasty on a hot day and it takes ages to cool down again) and the heating elements were always visible in the leather after the first 10,000 miles. Each to their own though 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as โsecondโ cars ๐

Heated steering wheel
Thank for the comments
Wasn't sure about the auto dipping never tried so thought I would give it a go.
Heated steering wheel not an option on the 5 seat commercial.
It's a dealer retro fit at 700 odd euro!!!
I can buy a pair of gloves!

I think someone else asked he same question above. Is this a 5 seat factory built commercial? Never knew such an option has ever existed? Just curious. I'm wondering what the VAT status would be on that?

5 sear commercial
Hi there
Yes the 5 seat commercial is available direct from the factory via dealer as an N1 vehicle
It's the tdv6 210 bhp unit.
Not the nice spec 256 bhp the uk gets.
It is taxed at 23%
Some limits apply such as interiors is either black or almond leather.
My current Havana was 58k euro
Vat was approx 9,700 euros
So got to claim it back.
It is classed as a commercial so the road tax is based on engine size
There fore its 1200 euro pa
If you promise only to use it for work then it's 333 euro
No brainier really
My dealer has assured me the new disco 5 will not be available as a commercial so I decided not to wait.
Hope that this helps you.
Give me a pm if you need more info.

Southern Ireland
Local dealer got 100 (not a typing error) Commercials a few years back from a failed order for (I think) southern Ireland (I'm talking back in 2008/2009 era). They were specce'd very differently to mainland UK Commercials.
The VAT treatment on them was very aggressive with more snap-head bolts and welded fasteners than he tended to see (this statement makes sense if you have ever tried to take the floor out of a commercial).
Stealer was telling me they found one or two odd things not seen on UK specs.
Who knows the ways of the Land Rover sales department
Good luck with yours "Track day running - Don't put your foot back on the accelerator until your absolutely sure you don't have to take it off again"

The only problem I find is that the backs of my hands remain cold when using the heated steering wheel. I've tried some alternative ways of holding the steering wheel but I find my grip is not as good.
