what is special programmes
i ask this as when i start the motor tonight i got that horrible bong followed by the “special programmes off” message which didnt stay on the screen but went straight off. what does that mean as the car drive normal

it means none of the terrain response programmes are available for selection
often this is related to a low battery voltage issue ,if your D3 battery is over 5 yrs old it might be worth a check especially in the colder temps we are starting to get now MY05 SE D3 Manual my first LR what a car

Hi,
The special programs are the options for the terrain response, hill descent control etc.
This message can sometimes appear when you first start the vehicle if your battery level is a little low, might be your first place to look.

if theres a problem will the warning sign stay on or is it supose to go off after a few seconds
