When I drove coaches, I always found it easier to reverse in narrow spaces using my mirrors. Even now I tend to use only my external ones. 2007 Disco3 2.7 tdv6 SE

That is tight, there's a similar narrow bridge as you come off High Tilberthwaite in the Lakes, you need a good spotter to get across Cheers Ian

Faced with a similar bridge and no spotter I chose to do it in reverse. Being able to see the exact gap between bridge and bodywork in the mirrors makes it a lot less nerve wrecking(!).Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

In fact you dont need to measure the gap, you just need to see daylight between the object and the rear of your vehicle.Series 1 V8

Awesome!
Reminds me of the entrance of my car garage I have to close the mirrors to drive in and
like driving on the BQE in Manhattan, three lanes and cars are just inches from one and other zooming by at about 65mph.
