I have one of those small steam cleaners, is that safe to use on it as it would no doubt soften the mud.
After Salisbury I just tokk off the grill and bottom cover and washed it out with a pressure washer from a distance and it seemed to work well.

Very easy and saves the hassle of removing the complete arch.
Just pop the front end of the arch out enough to allow you room to release the retaining screw.Just place a soft wedge of some sort ( pice of timber with a cloth around it) in behind it to hold it out .
