Just arrived in the Alps..
We left home at 1500hrs yesterday, drove to Hull and got on the Zebrugge overnight ferry. It reminded me very much of the 'Pride of Bilbao' when we last went to Morocco, even the P&O players were up down to their usual pitiful performance standard.
Docked at 0930 Belgium time, and was on the road by 1000. Arrived in the resort at 1950 hrs. A very good journey except the last 40 miles were dreadfully congested at the toll booths.
Loads of snow here, and looking forward to a good week. Its just me an Angus, so a real father/son skiing week, no distractions.
One thing I noticed today was the sheer number of D3 and D4 on the way down, loads of them, and D4 almost outnumber D3. No stickers though.

Happy belated, Gareth.
That Hull-Zeebrugge ferry is a bit dilapidated, isn't it? It's a convenient crossing, though -- and impressive to see them squeeze it through the lock into and out of the King George Dock. When I used it last Easter there were dozens of Solihull products on it -- doubtless people reluctant to spend extra fuel dosh on driving to the south coast.Mark...

Happy birthday Gareth, but forgive me for asking!
Why does your lad have such a nice/true Scottish Christian name;
whilst Gareth R .... is ....err ...... a bit Welsh [no offence].
says me, a Scotsman with a Welsh surnameI was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.
