Hi folks and as a number of replies indicate, you MUST have the donor vehicle’s motor running at all times.
If the disabled vehicles battery is shorted internally, and the motor is not running in the donor vehicle, it can pull the donor vehicles battery down so low that you can’t start the donor vehicle and may damage the donor vehicle’s battery as well.
BTW, boost packs only work if the disabled battery is flat, if it is shorted internally, a boost pack can not jump start the vehicle. 2008 TDV8 RR Lux + 2009 D4 2.7
