Jump Mod.
Another wee project done during my time-off during Christmas break.
Having 'Jump-Started' a few stranded motors over the cold frosty days I decided to make things easier for myself and purchased some Anderson Booster Cables....9 metre total length.

Yet to fit an Isolator........tho I have welded an Aluminium bracket to mount it on.....now waiting on the weather to improve a bit.

Looks great...
Just wondering, would there be space to fit it between the grill?
Then you wouldn't even need to open the bonnet. However, it could leave you slightly vulnerable to someone plugging themselves in if they knew it was there?
I've got some spare anderson plugs and cable from my Navara days. Might have to copy your mod.
Good work

Looks good and always useful for jump starting and powering other accessories etc. I did something similar a while back copying Wiggs’s mod from back in the day and it hides behind the LR grille badge. Just pop the badge off and plug into the anderson plug through the hole. Great Mod

Looks good, any room for convoluted tubing over the cable, just like Ceekay on his install?

Yeah there is room to fit it between grill, but some trimming/cutting would be required. As Ceekay has outlined above.
I preferred to house the connection under the bonnet for, (as I see it), better protection from the elements and mounted vertically so as to reduced the chances of protrusion into the various Radiators/Intercoolers should my D4 be unlucky enough to somehow sustain a frontal impact with a Tree/Ditch/Vehicle/Other........though it is all relative to the impact force sustained as to the damage likely to transpire. I shall be fitting an Isolator Switch near the Battery so the power is 'off' until I need it 'on'....and to protect against 'shorting' due to cable damage after any incident.
...Ya take yer chances and meet yer consequences.

I always remembered an 'AA' van having Anderson connectors fitted, [many years past now], and ""because Landrover" I have the perfect excuse/platform to apply the same idea.
Plus the fact removing and reinstalling the splash resistant top cover of the battery box and using less than long jumper cables was becoming a chore in itself.....

Plenty room for convulted tubing fella.........just that all I have is bright red stuff. But I have to keep that for my Subaru Impreza 555 Wagon. [When I get back round to working on it, that is].
Very nice will add this to the list of things to do! Ceekay a few things..do you have any dimensions for the bracket you made? Also might be a stupid question but what the grey block in your first photo? and any photos of the modified grill for the cable to come through the LR badge?
Cheers
Nick

Some nice “jump” mods there.
Unfortunately I’ve taken the lazy man approach to this and amongst my essential off road kit I carry a Tacklife T8 power pack.
https://tacklifetools.com/products/t8-max-jump-starter...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
I have my Anderson coming through the bottom left (looking at it) corner of the grille as that is where it is needed to connect the removable winch.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

Really needs a fuse otherwise you could be in trouble in a frontal crash.
I use my anderson all the time for the trickle charger, makes life a doddle.
