See Wiggs’s post below from 2014 (he takes the credit) for my details. I just used some 3mm ali plasti-dipped positioned using trial and error. Grille cut and badge mount in original 2014 post with lots more detail.
If the plug is shorted by a crash or similar then the inline megafuse seen in the wiring will blow (hopefully) and Ive beefed her up for a front end impact a little anyhow As orig poster has shown 30ft of jump cable comes in handy and is also good for charging and just in case 30ft wont reach Ive also got a Noco GB150 just in case! (should of been a boy scout, what can I say I like helping damsels in distress ) Pics below;
With LR Grille Badge in place and beefed up a little.

I have a 175amp plug in the engine bay on my Freelander.
If you have a heat gun it works brilliantly for soldering, drill a hole in a block of wood & stand up the contact on end, otherwise it is two 100 watt soldering irons or swage tool but it not so tidy for heat shrink tube.
175 to 50amp adaptor.

All that stuff...
All this stuff for? Why not use a CTEK charger thru the tow plug at night and keep the battery happy. There is an adapter available somewhere on this site.2003 D2a Auto TD5 good Landy gone

Welding cable is the best. Extremely flexible, nitrile rubber. Plus some solid copper clamps 200amps continuous & Anderson plug the other end.Visitor - Freelander owner

Yup, but only the 9m comes as a direct connect to the battery with the Anderson plugs, the shorter lengths are standard jump leads and lower amperage2008 HSE Stornoway Grey
