Evening one and all
my old girl has developed a judder whilst driving under load, there appear`s to be no fluctuating revs etc
but I do occasionally hear a tapping, sounds like the noise you would get if you tapped on a brake disc with something metal,
have checked and replaced front discs and pads with Brembo discs yesterday and the rears were replaced not to long ago either so, I guess its nothing to do with brakes,
is it more likely to be DMF or could it be dirty injectors, I know the tapping isn't from them as its coming from underneath, or could it be driveshaft even?
any pointers gladly received
Cheers in advance

Check your rear brakes for overheating after a journey. If they are hot, could be epb shoes playing up. I had similar symptoms which disappeared when shoes replaced.

my D2 TD5 was juddering badly - particularly pulling away in 1st and also making odd clicking noises and then lost drive totally. When I took the engine out to investigate the DMF had a lot of 'rocking play' and as a result of that the clutch plate had been torn apart. Pete
