J&E do post on here. usually with helpful stuff and no self promoting. Pointing out new tech docs on GTR too. They are not as regular as Chris and even then Chris is usually just responding to questions... which is good.
TBH its far better for us to post around our thoughts, experiences on chipping than the manufacturer. In theory we would be a tad less biased.

My point exactly. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

[quote="AndrewS"]So everyone ‘clicks’ on the TC and JE links and makes their own minds up.
what links ...to be a true and fair test the same cars need to be tested chipped and unchipped no two cars go the same

mate... if we test D3's it will be completely un-scientific
My manual with just LR software will win for sure... very well run in and goes like a train.

Obviously people check out the different chip companies and then decide who they consider to offer the best product.
Although I don't like using the word chip much prefer re map 8)
IMO a re map not only gives you more torque and performance it also helps to smooth the car out. F&M

Think Andrew was anticipating a real world test rather than a controlled scientific test.
Yes all vehicles have variances as does each driver one enhancement might suit a particular driving style.
But the results would be interesting nether the less

this is the reason its not hard to chip then unchip a car so it will be the same car same driver etc it just depends on je and tc taking part which wont be a bad thing ...

And more importantly... a good fun exercise and excuse for some ribbing of the loser.
If I could justify the cost today I would go for a re-map for sure. Driven Andrew's J&E fettled D3 and I must say it was very quick.
Didn't get chance to drive Chris's (TC) D3 but from what some have said... it was quick too.
And JCB man... this is what the forum is about... our opinions on re-mapping / chipping etc. Far less sterile than power band graphs and rolling road readings. Real world living with and comparing the performance is much better.
Ken... agree mate. Depends on how you use your motor

Unscientific yes completely as most of us would be nursing a hangover
& yes have a feeling that your car might be quickest as most of the others who have volunteered carry a weight penalty (not referring to the drivers)
Damm if I do this I’ll have to take the MTR’s off

woah... no insult meant.
If J&E or TC can appear and then re-map / un re-map a D3 for us it would be great... can't see it though as we would be all over them if one was not as quick - for this test of course.
or if the un fettled D3 was quicker
Real test would be mid range and not 0-60 or distance based of course.
Oh and if they 'forgot' to reset my car I would not tell anyone of course
