Good grief..........gave up watching this total earache of a show.
Wheeling out people who had hits years ago who can no longer sing, obviously no auto tune, it was dire...!!!!
Whoever commissioned that show should be sacked and never work in any form of entertainment again. ------------------------------

Can’t be much worse than Netflix allegedly spending $90M on making Bright. A mate of mine said he fell asleep during the movie and many have said the story had so much potential but in the end failed miserably.
In Sweden the “scandal” is that the yearly Christmas with Donald Duck is taped in advance rather than being live television. It’s watched by 1/3 of the population - roughly - and has been a part of their Xmas culture since 1960 or so.

I watched Bright last night and it was OK. I don't know if $90m is a lot or not these days for a movie! I also watched The Foreigner the other night. Another made for Netflix movie with Piers Brosnan and Jackie Chan. It was good, interesting plot. I think the most interesting thing is that Netflix are making movies with some big name stars and they are for the direct to streaming market rather than for cinema. Some of their dramas are good so I guess movies are a natural extension.

I’ve liked their series like Narcos, The Crown, all the Marvel universe stuff like Punisher and Dare Devil and Iron Fist, etc. bright kind of didn’t do it for me.
I think 90M is a lot for a movie - similar to venture capital one need to get a nice multiplier at the box office to make money on them. Netflix doesn’t, of course - they’re subscription based - so they need to judge the success internally based on how many people watch it and then through some kind of retention calculations.
Seems they didn’t buy the rights for the foreigner here but I found season 7 of foyle’s war instead.. things could be worse.

Have some sympathy for someone that was there.... But in my defense it wasn’t my choice and it was a free evening even including transport. At least we had a box with food and plenty of champagne...!
It wasn’t a great show...MY2008 D3 - It got me hooked...gone
MY2012 D4 - It kept me hooked...gone
MY2007 D3 - Mid-Life crisis toy continues driving me to bankruptcy...
MY2018 "D5" Si6 - But is it a "true" LR...discuss...but now gone
Back in a D4 with a lot of extras....
