J E Engineering Remaps
Does anyone have any experience of the J E Engineering SDV6 remap?
We have been approached by JE, with the view to becoming the sole Scottish agent for JE.
They seem to have good feedback with the TDV8 engine over on FFRR, but have not found much info about the 3.0 Diesel in Disco 4/RRS. They quote figures of around 275bhp, and 715Nm of torque ( 8) ) and speed limiter removal
They also say it can be tailored to suit individual requirements, i.e, a specific map for maximum power, or a more conservative map for better fuel economy, or more low down torque for better towing etc.

Yes Mikey they are a former site sponsor and they had (have!?) a good reputation. If you plan on using their name to resell through the site then you might just want to fly it past Martin 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I had a JE tune on my old D3.
I chose them because of their very close working relations direct with LR.
[Pete wasn't posting on site at that time].
Very professional company.
Would I get one again? ... No!
Why? .... because when the dealer happens to overwrite it [when their doing software upgrades - as they did on mine], it means booking in and a long trip to Coventry to get it re-installed....... always on the road less travelled 🚧

I would be interested in a remap on our MY12 - purely to improve economy, but not too keen on needing to have it reinstalled if the dealer overwrites it every time they apply a software upgrade....
The ability to upload & download maps, protects them from being overwritten.
If the dealer updates your firmware Peter Bell will update your remap.
You can also have the map tailored to your requirements, rather than having a "standard" map.

Can any of the D4 remaps be done via the OBD or do they require the ECU to be pulled and reprogrammed?Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

remaps
Hi Guys
Just been hearing this going around in the trade that a lot of the car companies are now issuing their dealers with chip reading software it tells them how many times an eprom has been written and this will show up as the car having been remapped.
I know that vauxhall and volkswagon use it as they have had a few of their faster models engines letting go only to find out when investigated further that the cars had been remapped, warranty out of the window so beware if your cars under warranty.
Whether there is any truth in this I dont know but I know vauxhall are meant to be using this on their little corsa vxrs and special editions as so many of them have blown up
cheers
