The dealer is happy to reactivate the lights. I think they might want me to sign something to say i won't use them on the road.
I think if I had bought one with some real G4 history (like your Thailand HSE) I would have wanted to keep it authentic but they offered to to swap over the stickers as well, could be something to do with the fact I end up buying a D3 whenever I walk in their showroom

nope - but I'll look for it tomorrow - I need to pop in and have a shout about a missing piece of paperwork Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
character, none of the above, but i dont doubt the dealer made about 3k on my sale - they are a business! The one to avoid is BD08VTM, driven by LRO along the sea shore in cumbria . I know the ''true'' G4's will have done far more but these are pristine and low mileage.

Wen down at lunch for my rant - Paul skillfully soothed my annoyance and I had a small guided tour of the back yard - as well as the RRS on the front, they've got a shiny G4 D3 down then at with a £35K sticker on it too! There's an 06 G4 RRS down there too - a customer car with a stoved in rear door - accident with a tree Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

This is why so many dealers are struggling, most of them aren't happy with £3k they expect £7k. We've just taken on a saleman who wanted to get out of the motor trade and he's ex LR and said that when they we're buying in FFRR's from LR they would only buy them if there was £10-12k in it. I know they're a business but surely make less but sell more has to be the key. Love the G4 btw
I saw a new G4 on Saturday on the A21 near Sevenoaks, heading towards the M25. I thought it had an Italian flag on but it might have been Ireland, it was going the other way and we were both going quite quickly The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.
Thanks snowy! i hope they didnt decide to take it for a thrash after I bought it!! i will be checking the mileage
I did have to check about the flags - the dealer wasn't actually sure as the red/orange looks orange!! so its either Italian or Irish! by Friday it will be British made/liveried and owned!
err.... whats HID? i can clearly see them, nothing hidden about them at all! the delaer said the were Hella Xenons ... i msure they are b loody brigth what ever they are!
cheers
