I've had a brilliant weekend

On Saturday, 10forcash gave me a full day of tuition in winch operation, which gave me all the info I needed and the confidence to use it. He and big-5 make a great training team! I can recommend 1:1 training to anyone with a winch, it is invaluable.

Then this morning Tom and I went to Tong where he learned to drive Laughing while I led a troupe of D3s into the most challenging sections of Parkwood offroad course, the wrong way round Embarassed

This afternoon I used the new found winch skills to rescue someone well bogged in the 'hell holes' (don't know who Embarassed but I'm sure the photos will be up soon) and afterwards I had a good old play around in 'shark lake'

It really has been a top weekend Thanks everyone.

BCB, hope you're signed up for the Arduous Service Schedule, Land Rover HQ would have you believe you need to service your car every 3750 miles know you've got it properly muddy more than a couple of times. Rolling Eyes

Looks like you had a TOP weekend. Mr. Green Nice one Thumbs Up

Yes, I've been reading your thread on the park brake...

To be totally honest, I think I'd rather learn how to clean and adjust the park brake and do the other things they do every 3750 miles myself, and just keep a standard 15k service schedule, on the book at least.

I'm going to learn how to do an oil change when I come back from Morocco Neutral

I've asked LRHQ to send me a copy of the schedule. Once I have it I'll post details.

As regards servicing the park brake, I'm thinking along similar lines if LR don't back down or if I don't go with the X-Brake development idea, but it does stick in the throat a little.

On closer inspection, the damage to my door is a little worse than I thought. Very poor photos - It's difficult to photograph a dent...

I've got a dent on the front passanger-side door, no idea how I got it but it is just visible when the car is nice and clean. Leaving telling Mrs DSL to see how long she takes (if ever) to see it. Big Cry Big Cry
