Nice! I quite like the side rub strips as I've ordered the same colour also but without the strips. Might have to contact Yeovil & get me some of those.

Dr D, Great news indeed!

Though the arrival marks the end of an era for many of us, I hope you will continue to share your experiences of actually owning the new beast in the same vein as you have involved us in the exciting wait for it's arrival Very Happy

Is Java/Alpaca an unusual combination? (Sorry, I'm being lazy, I know I should go and look it up on the LR web site). The loaner I have today while mine is serviced has a black interior and, strangely, makes it feel like a different car altogether: much less spacious interior. I obviously need Trinny & Suzannah to come and explain all about combining colours to me, (while patronizing me at the same time).

I've gone for the Java Black/Ebony interior as I wanted to try to hide the marks from the kids wellies/football kit/dog etc etc. Don't know if it's more popular or not, but it's what I wanted to have.

I think I've just grown too used to the lighter colour interior. I haven't had any problems with the colour - other than the well-known issue of my Levis turning the driver's seat a nice shade of blue. But - on the positive side - it means the leather gets cleaned and conditioned far more often that it would if it were black!

There was an F2 at the dealers this morning with an Alpcaca interior - looked great!

I went for alpaca purely as most of the cars in the past I've had have been fitted with black leather.....however My wife had an X3 for about 18 months and it had light blue/grey leather and as long as its leather, you can clean up the kiddie-mess easily...there will be nowt consumed inside the disco however hungry they are!!

Sad Just light hearted humour, I wasnt having a dig Crying or Very sad

I do find the side protection tubes and underbody protection usefull though. They have saved my sills a few times. and the seat covers I bought yesterday are very functional

The winch ?, that gets used quite a bit. But as you say, add accessories for functional reasons Very Happy not for show Twisted Evil

Enjoy.....

No worries , I will get some sort of seat protection for when we go mud-bound but clean shiny cars are like crappy christmas novelties....UNUSED....while I'd love a winch, I'd never really use it other than for parking protection at the front Laughing , my towball will help at the rear

well , now only 20hrs and 30 mins Confused Confused Laughing

Yes, it does have its alternative uses as parking protection. However, if its ultimate parking protection you are after check out the ARB winch bumper..... Awesome.
