Thanks Christian, but warranty dictates its got to be done at LR Dealer.
In hindsight, it would possibly have been cheaper and more efficient for me to buy the turbo and get TFC to fit, without going through warranty.
I'm now stuck for transport for Mon/Tue when I venture down the M1 as far as MK.
I either hire a car or pinch the wifes Civic.

dealer would do work in progress "vehicle off road" before doing standard routine services to other D3'sbooked in...
My dealer has phoned me in the past to ask if I could delay my routine service to allow another customer to avail of this "re-shuffle"
Depends on the dealer...some are good & some aren't.....D3 customers should vote with their vehicle service bookings. BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.

D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

The dealer principle [and LR] will be having my thoughts! ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Do you have your D3 back yet
What happened to the service manager, is he still there or has he left after poor management
Is you TURBO in OR out

Wow, you have a warranty where they turn down a cheaper way of fixing it???
Bit late but RLR would HAVE to warrant their work installing your turbo (ie if they make a mistake its down to them), the turbo would come with its own warranty if it fails. Only problem you might have wanted reassurance on is if the turbo breaks up on startup (or at any stage within its own warranty), who pays for the consequential damage to the engine - this may be effectively picked up by your warranty Co anyway.... Cheers

D3 just back on Wed.
Not had time yet to escalate the issue.
New turbo fitted.
But think my tune has been over written.
Could do with your confirmation.

My D3 is out of LR warranty.
The aftermarket warranty company will pick up the repair costs at quoted percentages.
But Yes, RLR do to warrant parts and workmanship. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Good customer service would have been for the service manager to put a bloody technician on overtime to get it done. Really not rocket science to keep a customer happy is it!
