This D3 on ebay all seems ok except the price he claims he bought it for!

But he did buy it from Stratstone in Mayfair and the list price for that would be £34400 if I remember rightly so that probably is what they stung him for. Zermatt silver 06 reg.

can't see anything wrong with the price he paid for it to be honest, he added extras and still paid under book price.
