It is a 12 volt socket like in the car, my guess is somone previous to you had a 12v fridge they kept in the awning and plugged it in there

Hhat is it?

Seem to have seen something like this as i was trawling Yawn
Could be an isolator for the main power!

Doe's it push in. and stop all power from the battery. then pull out to reactivate.
If NOT, it's Not wot i thought Whistle Whistle

Thanks, could well be a 12v socket will see if that end pulls out, wouldnt have thought it was for a fridge though as it has one built-in.

Definitely not an isolator as it's crocodile clipped directly to the batteryand like the rest of the 12v electrics no fuse.

May well have one built in but may be like us when we go to France we take an additional 12v fridge to go in awning to fill with beer

I would go with the Accessory Socket above, with an home made dust cover. We used to plug a Chiller out in the awning when we all used to go away, to France and such like, now just the two of us the internal Fridge is ample.

I wouldn't be that happy with this considering it's unfused and in an exposed position

Thanks for your comments.

That "pulley" is attached to a cork as stopper. It is now disconnected.
