Is the Service Indicatior right. |
|
The service indicator, is showing 22 in the LCD which shows the mileage.
The problem is the car is only 7months old and I have only done 3700 miles.
I belive the 1st service is due at 1500 miles or 15 months,
I got in contact with the dealer last Saturday, the person who I to spoke to, said she did not know, and no one was there to help me, she said that if there was a problem she would phone me back on Monday, when the service department was back at work, she did not phone back.
But I have been thinking ( I know thats dangerous) If I leave it till the car is 15 months old and I have a warranty claim, could they refuse, as I did not have the car seviced at the time the display told me to. Land Rover Dicovery 3. 5 Seats.

You may well find that the 22 is a countdown of days for the 1st 'birthday' of the car; the dealer has merely forgotten to reset it on the pre-collection inspection.
If you can't check the VIN no. on the LR register for a date, the date stamps on some of the more-easlity accessed components (ashtray, lower tailgate mouldings, etc) will probably be predominantly May and June 06. Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana
