Is it worth buying a new MY14... |
|
...when a new model is imminent.
Bargains to be had?
What about the price for my 61 XS?

Oh, thought there was a new one coming along.
Doesn't seem to be an excuse for not going for it then

The talk of a new discovery is just talk...there will be one though...but it wont be this or next year.
Put it this way, im likely to have 2 new cars before I would get a new discovery. At full tilt, it wouldn't be until the earliest October 2015, but much more likely is 2016 mid to late again at the earliest.
Don't chase the unknown, just get one now Mike

but then if the new model crashes, the MY2014 B4 will be sought after and will hold its value significantly.
RRS prices are not crashing with the new car.

Ive not looked at RRS prices since I sold mine...but a mixture of availability of the new one, increased price/reduced options on the new one and it not being to everyone's taste...I can see why that would be the case.
Its likely that could happen to a new disco Mike

My view is if you are happy to wait three years to get a new car on your drive then sit it out, otherwise have another one.

I had always said I was going to wait for the new model but with the prospect of it being another 2-3 years away before you can actually have one on your drive I've just ordered a MY2014 this week Cheers Ian

Suppose I had better let Mrs W know off my thoughts, but methinks that when she sees a picture of a Firenze red with the black pack I think she might just succumb to the idea !

There will be a new addition to the Discovery family in 2015 but not a new Disco, if you know what I mean. Just go for one now 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

The Disco 3/4 design has been around since 2004 and frankly getting a bit old. Look how dated old model FFRR's now seem compared with the new Range Rover. Same will be true of the Range Rover Sport.
Hang on to your money.
