Where is the FBH Pump?
I have diagnosed my FBH not working as a failed pump - no fuel being delivered when primed or tested (Nanocom) and no hum of a motor. Another thread refers to it being located on a cross member, but where exactly and how do I access it? I have just had the viscous fan off and on to replace the alternotor, so Sod's law says it would have been accessible then 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

I believe it is under the drivers seat on the chassis.

Now you mention it, I think I have read that before. I have only just done the fuel filter change and I am guessing it is behind the same protection plate. Grrrrr
I wanted to check the fuse to the pump, but have not worked out which one it is. I did read a suggestion it is 28 beside the battery, but mine was blank The FBH used to work, so I doubt it is that one. Anyone know .....2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Hmmm, I also thought fuse 28 was for the FBH.

It's on the cross member near the front of the fuel tank. It should make a ticking sound when it's pumping. It won't start as soon as you fire the heater, it takes a moment or two.

Fuse 28 in the engine bay is for the fuel burning heater

Yep, my fuse list still has Fuse 28 as the FBH.

Fuse 28 has three wiggly arrows pointing up from ground into car. It has an asterix showing it is an option, I definitely have an FBH. F26 above it is also 20A and looks like it is for the suspension raising (compressor?). One of those fuses was missing and as my suspension was OK I conclude it was the FBH. I did try car without F26 but had suspension fault. I know one was definitely not there!. If no fuel getting to FBH could be the pipe from fuel tank to pump is blocked.
Mine was, took pipe off at back of pump blew down it was some resistance at first but then cleared , bubbles heard in tank, pipe replaced job done

Robbie, Ha ha. Yes there is a new fuse in the slot and still now sound of the pump and no diesel. The pump is controlled by the FBH. Is there any current flow through the fuse?
If you should need an FBH Dan sells new ones really cheap, but rule out the fuel system first.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

I have had to replace my pump. It is a simple inline pump but they are pricey at £100.. It's sits in a rubber strap on the front cross member.
The first thing to check is that the pump is tick during the fuel priming process. If not check the power to it. It is not a standard 12v pump but works on pulses. I have no idea how to check that with a volt meter but you should seen something jumping up and down I guess. Mine was ticking away so I disconnected the fuel lines both sides of the pump and blew them clear. Make sure you have over 1/4 tank of fuel as the pick up is not to the bottom of the tank.
I still had little or no fuel getting to the fbh so replaced the pump. Mucho smoke and all sorted.
