It doesn't usually affect the cost. They ask so they know where to put you on the boat and can work out how much space they will need. I always used to tick the high-sided vehicle box when going on a ferry as they usually put you at the pointy end of the lower deck in front of the lorries, meaning you get off first. These days, I think you have to pay for that privilege. No longer a D3 owner but still subscribed to multiple threads!

Phoned P&O this morning and they class a high car as anything over 2.4 metres. Their website doesn't give this information. Still booked online as you can earn Nectar points booking via the Nectar website. Another cannae Scot.
We looked into Superfast but their timetable didn't fit with our travel plans. Shame , because it's a good service and very handy for us.
Thanks for all your help.2014 Defender 90.

They should allow for that in their calcs... but take it slow and you should be OK
OK, but I live in France. Would I trust them to get this right? Would I . There are usually scrapes everywhere on the car park ceilings! I take it very slow and make good use of the moon roof - my boss once got into a car park, drove all round it and then got the roof smashed at the exit
