Is my car a "REAL" HSE LUXURY?
I have just noticed that my HSE Luxury does not have the Black Door Handles specified but instead has
the grey ones. Also the steering wheel does not have the "gloss" black trims as specified due to it having the piano black interior trim,but has a Matt black finish! I bought the car brand new from dealer as an HSE Luxury. Is it possible that it's a standard HSE that the dealer has spec'd up themselves to "match" Lux spec and then just stuck a Luxury badge on the back?
Does anyone know how I can tell or if there is anything else I can use to check.

A few reports of cars coming out without black bits recently. If not to Lux spec have a "chat" with the dealer & they should retro fit them.
Sounds just like Gareth's experiences.

Cheers Wiggs, Yes it does have the entertainment system in the rear. My concern is that everything in the spec
matches a Lux but not the bits I mentioned. It's the fact that those would be th only bits that you could not just add to an HSE as an option that worries me. If this is not a pukka Lux then it would affect future value, irrespective of what had been added to a normal HSE. reading through the spec you sent me it looks like the Oberon (grey) door handles were on the build spec!
very odd especially on a black car! The black handle would look so much better! I think I'll have aword with
the dealer and see what they say.

HSE Lux do have the black and yours should too. The interesting bit is they stopped using the painted grey trim for a bit due to quality issues.
The other interesting bit is that all the MY13 build sheets give the engine torque of 625Nm, rather than the 600Nm of MY12. Guess they increased the output, which is nice.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Hi, yes my lux was ordered with the black design and grand black lacquer interior. I have black door handles, but am missing the black grills and lettering. Also missing the black steering wheel trims. I am awaiting a resolution from the dealer. Dealer says it is a factory error.
