ipod lead
Hi Folks
Just picked up my Landmark yesterday and was looking for the lead for the ipod link - it seems to be just a normal USB port on the Discovery's now or is there still a port somewhere that takes the short lead with the big plug specifically for the ipod/iphone?"UNDERSTEER" ---is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" -is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" ------------is how far you take the fence with you.

Reckon I've still got the lead from my old MY11 Landmark somewhere.
If of interest pm me, then I'll have a look. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Many thanks for the offer but it would seem LR have decided to just use a USB connection, of which there are 2 in the top glove box so it would seem the specific leads are no longer of any use "UNDERSTEER" ---is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.

If it's like my MY13, then you just need a standard USB lead. One USB is labelled iPod, the other can be used for memory sticks etc. D4 MY14 XXV - RLD/IID BT

If yours is a MY10, I can't be sure. I' sure that someone on here will be able to say when the iPod connection changed from that type of connection to standard USB.D4 MY14 XXV - RLD/IID BT

Can this USB port be used to power a dash cam? ..... when I plugged my wifes camera into the USB port on her Toyota the camera seemed to think it was connected to a computer? And so she's got leads dangling everywhere to the cigar lighter - Halfords won't hard wire it because its a Hybrid (not even allowed to change the bulbs on these they said). And I wouldn't have a clue how to do it! 2016MY Discovery HSE - Black

No, 2010 and possibly 2011 MY have to use the specific LR iPod lead. The infotainment system changed later so that you could just use the standard iPod USB cable.

Unfortunately you don't need that cable with newer vehicles. My MY2011 had that cable but I think my MY2012 didn't need it so that may be when they changed the entertainment systems Cheers Ian
