ipod adaptor lead

does anyone know if i can get an ipod classic/iphone adaptor lead to connect to my 06 d3 S,it has an aux switch on the dash but its not got a aux socket but there is one at the rear of the console in the back ?,a local ICE specialist says that because it has a harmon kardon system fitted theres not much choice and i will have to have a landrover approved type fitted which is expensive,it doesnt matter too much if i cant scroll through the tracks off the controls on the steering wheel but it would be better,is there a usb port on the back of the changer behind the dash that the ipod lead will plug into,i know the subject may of been covered before but i need to know, thanks

An aux cable should fit into the headphone socket on the iPod/iPhone and plug directly I to the rear aux port in the centre consul.

You will only be able to control it via the iPod/iPhone though.

Just get an in car charger and a long aux lead - no bother, iPod in the drinks holder. Cost you about £15 for both.

Also a cute little number from eBay: 12v socket to USB for charging!

Being an S I'm assuming that you, like I, don't have Sat Nav. I bought one of these from Amazon

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B...oh_product

This charges the I phone and it is plugged into the Aux socket in the back (you need to buy a cable for that).
I have removed the mat and stuck it in where the Sat Nav would be. I have drilled a hole behind the holder and hidden the cables away down to the Cig Lighter and aux socket, there is plenty of info on here on how to remove everything to do this. It also leaves the I phone in a position where you can actually see it to change tracks and it will serve as a hands free kit using the car speakers.

I bought one of these Belkin mounts, which I plug in for power at the back of the centre arm rest, at all you need extra is a short double ended 3.5mm jack lead to the aux input
