Iphone8 and MY10 Bluetooth

Has anybody had any issues pairing an Iphone8 with an MY10 car

Works fine with iphone6, iphone7 but won’t pair with an 8

I had no problem with pairing Bluetooth with my old MY2010 D4 and iPhone 8, but until Apple did a software update it wouldn’t play music properly via the cable.

I have no problem with the pairing but it won’t download the phone book and call lists only appear after I’ve made a call

Is the phone’s software up to date (iOS 11.4.1)? I had the issues a couple of updates ago, but (touching copious amounts of wood) it’s been fine since.
