Hi all,
My iPhone 6 doesn't get recognised by the D4 when I plug into the iPhone connection. I used the cable supplied which is an iPhone 4 fitting but added a lightning adapter to it to fit my iPhone 6. The vehicle doesn't think its plugged in when it is.
I therefore thought about playing my iTunes via Bluetooth. But cannot work out how to do this. When I go to the audio settings there is no option and I have tried "aux" "iphone" etc but they all flag up errors saying no device.
Any thoughts?
Many thanks

My experience of using my iPhone6 in a D4 with/without Bluetooth extends to the following, which may help;
a) Connecting via my inline battery case allows both case and phone to charge, but does not allow music to play to the car via the cable. (your lightning adapter could be doing a similar thing, possibly?)
b) Having the iphone, or any other iPod, connected to the iPod-port blocks the ability to connect the iPhone via Bluetooth
c) Even when a) is true, b) is as well.
I hope this is useful

Is the lightning adapter a genuine Apple one? I bought a couple of non-genuine ones to use with my iPhone 5s and the only thing that they'd do was charge the phone. Bought a couple of genuine ones and had no problems since.

As said you need a genuine apple adapter
You won't stream music over Bluetooth either .. This was only standard on 2012 onwards G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Only the genuine Apple on works in my D4, even though some have worked in other cars (temporarily).

You can get them slightly cheaper at CEX, but I have one in my 59 plate d4 and it talks to my iPhone 6 without any issues
