Ipanema Sand
She has finally arrived and thought I would grab a few pictures whilst she is still presentable. Look at my gallery for other photos, but here are a small sample.
A few first impressions :
1. The rear seat aircon has gone missing ! They kindly still fit the control console with the blanked out vents just to remind you of what you had on the last HSE but not on this one ?
2. When you plug in the Iphone it reports that "this accessory is not designed for the Iphone and will not charge" and suggests you disconnect it or switch to Airplane Mode ?
3. The 20" high Heeled Shoes are better than I feared - the ride is perfectly acceptable even though our local roads have lots of potholes or no tarmac at all.
4. Ipanema Sand is one of those colours that takes a bit of getting used to - but its actually quite pleasing and even the wife approves.
5. This keyless entry thing is an answer to a question that no one ever asked - think its going to be a bit of a phaff.
We are off to The Lakes this morning with dogs, kids, walking gear and lots of "stuff". Will be interesting to see how she handles that lot.Disco 4 TDV6HSE

Very nice car Mark The rear a/c is not on my latest D3 HSE either. I think it was only standard on 05 or 06 ?
If you can't live with the 20's, I'll swap you for my 19's I also like that colour.

Very strange - my D4 HSE has these controls in the rear, although not specified with rear air con. Anyone got any ideas why I have these and Smarticus doesn't?

Hi supercharged, wish you lots of fun with your new D4.
Checking your interior centre console photo in your gallery, there is no rear air con option there (it would be next to the vent/lower direction setting button). So it's a puzzle for me too.

Anyone got any thoughts on the rear controls. Does anyone else have a HSE with these controls or do you all have blanked out ones?Paul

Very good question! I'm not convinced that they do. Which does raise questions about a nearly £50k car!Paul

The dealer is coming tomorrow to pick the car up for tinting the windows - I'll ask for it to be fixed under warranty as you suggest cooperman! Paul

But if there isn't a control switch on the front fascia to turn the rear aircon on, I suspect there may well not be the plumbing and wiring to the rear aircon. Are the rear roof vents there as well ? A dealer fix may therefore consist of taking the control unit off the roof and fitting the horible blanked out unit all other HSE UK spec vehicles seem to have.
I strongly suspect the "Accountants" have been hard at work on the D4 and quietly deleted all high cost components which don't command a high price premium. They have then put the price of the vehicle up as well, so margins must be excellent for LR on these vehicles. And what's more is they have sold more than they expected so far. Some would say that is very good business - but as a customer I feel a bit short changed.Disco 4 TDV6HSE

Hmm - maybe right Smarticus. I would rather have non-working controls than blank plastic Paul

Supercharged - just wondered if you had the vents in the rear side panels (as on the Disco 3). And if so, do they work? I guess that will confirm if you have a working rear a/c system... and in turn gives hope to those of us who would also quite like to have it.
