So today I park up and turn off engine. Sit in car and listen to radio whilst waiting for someone. Suddenly after about 5 mins the car starts on its own. No pressing of stop/start button, no foot on brake pedal, nothing. It just starts up....I am sure there is a simple explanation but please enlighten me!

Did the start/stop perhaps activate without you noticing when you parked up - then after a few minutes it decided the car needed to start up again due to battery drain?

I thought about that but definitely remember pressing to turn it off. Maybe it literally went into stop/start a fraction before I pressed off?
