Intermittent left door speaker playback |
|
For a few months now my left door speaker (I only have one) started to fail from time to time. A quick rise in the volume and it would playback again and I also noticed that a tap on the door would start it too. What I would like to know, from people that already dismantled the door trim and speakers, is if the connector could be the cause, or the speaker itself. That is, could the connector get loose? If that’s the case, I could fix it myself, but if the speaker is the culprit then the dealer should fix it. I would like to find that out before the removal of the panel. Thank you.

It could be either of those and difficult to tell withoiut removing the door trim. I'd just hand it to the dealers if I were youi Bodsys Brake Bible

I had this in the drivers door... checked during my service by GSTD ...it seems one of the wires was loose . 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
