| Intermittent chattering noise |

Hi,
I am having intermittent chattering noise noise on my MY07 Disco. In the morning it sounds like an older diesel (but quieter), later in the day its smooth like a gasoline engine, and in the evening it chatters again. No error codes at all. All short trips.
Any ideas what may cause this?

Do a search for tappets and you will see a number of threads anout this. Mine makes the same noise, under very light load such as cruising. Lift of the throttle or accelerate and it goes away.
