interior lights

dont want to get flammed here but i need help
i have read the handbook about altering the length of time the interior lights stay on for, which it claims you can alter the timing for.
cant see how to do it and it is very annoying when they stay on for up to 15mns.
can anyone help?

I found this information in the manual (Page 92) As far as I know, there is no way to change the time the interior lights, stay on. Maybe you have another setting "wrong" or a switch is not working, as the manual mentions the interior lights go off automatically after 15 minutes, if you leave them on. Hope it helps!

original text in manual:

Note: Map lamps, glovebox lamps and vanity
mirror lamps will extinguish automatically after
15 minutes to prevent battery drain provided
that the starter switch is in position 0.

I can't get the server to display the image any bigger, sorry for that.

Methinks you may be confusing the interior lights with the follow-me-home lights which, IIRC, can be adjusted for length of operation Confused

I think you press and hold the centre switch until a message appears on the speedo info window to say you've changed modes between automatic and manual...

I should have put 'as well' or something at the end of the post really!

and now I'm quoting myself, that's almost as bad as talking about yourself in the third person, isn't it? Shocked

Rolling with laughter Please don't do that; I've worked with someone who only ever reffered to themselves by their own full name, never "I" or "me"...very disturbing Very Happy

Thumbs Up 'fraid I'd left my manual at home, and my web browser butchered your inserted picture of the page so I couldn't read it - glad I remembered it right!
