Has anyone used any other kits that come a bit cheaper? Must be CANbus error free and ideally replace the roof lining housings where possible, rather than just the bulbs to avoid that weird light spread issue.
If I’m just being cheap then just call me a and I’ll order the PowerfulUK ones.

I couldn't find anyone else doing a full kit at the time, so fitted the PowerfulUK ones.
Everything fitted first time, and worked first time.
Bonus was that I found I had puddle lights under the doors - previous bulbs were so dim that even those that worked were useless.
Made a huge difference.
But you're right, expensive!

I bought mine from precision LED and after 20 months they all work fine with no issues experienced. Many people go cheap and find they have blown in a few months.

M3bobby makes a good point.
Mine went in approx 18 months ago, and all still good, and they do that dimming thing when you lock the car.
Reasons to fit LED, if you need one, include much better brighter light, and less current draw if you leave doors open for cleaning, etc (they do go out after a while, but wake up again each time a door is closed/opened it seems) so less chance of flattening the battery.
You can set the interior lights to not come on of course, or just turn them off if they do, but the puddle lights are not included in that.19?? it's showing no stock at the minute ... but the place got burned to the ground (about a year ago IIRC) so it's good to see the website back up and running, so I expect they will have stock showing soon..

Good point, I’m no expert but I believe the Dimming action can be detrimental to LEDs that aren’t designed for that type of application. Something to do with stable current??? Any experts?

I also went cheap, £1 a bulb and of the 30 I bought only one failed over the few years I had them in the D3 & D4. Unfortunately no longer available but they were seriously fab. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01EQU...&psc=1
Of the 29 left, I’ve got all of 4 in use in our present cars, rest are sitting in a cup somewhere.

I've got the Powerful UK ones in my D3, and it looks great. Well made and bright, a bit pricy but (probably) worth it.
