Insurance outside Europe

Hello! Does anyone know a way to insure the car globally - or at least outside of the home region (EU)? Planning to go to Central Asia and casco in particular seems to be a problem.

Theoretically ones own company can issue a Green Card, to cover you, but when I went to US , I could not find a UK insurer to issue one, eventually got cover from a US company , although all the paperwork came from Germany as it in fact was a global company.

Do you still have the name of that company? I’d be very interested! On another forum, somebody recommended Clements Worldwide (clements.com). I spoke to them briefly today, will follow up tomorrow - they look promising Smile but it won’t hurt to have a backup...

I know they guy! I mean, I’ve spoken to him over the internet. He knows a lot about the LR3 and LR4 but in terms of insurance, he couldn’t offer a breakthrough. Let’s hope those Clements people live up to expectations, I’d be their regular customer till the day I die:).
