Installation of navigation? |

Hello everybody, please help me withe the following advice. i have Disco 3 without navi. is it possible to upgrade it with navi? if is it so, which components are neccesery for that? Display, gps antenna , what else?

I think it would be infinitley cheaper to use a Tom Tom or something - unless anybody else has any other ideas

Yes, but Tom Tom does not provide other functions that gives original display.

There is a someone on ebay (a breakers yard) selling the complete lot, with side window.
The price is £1100 plus £60 postage plus 17.5% vat.
Look under "Discovery 3"
Hope this helps. Land Rover Dicovery 3. 5 Seats.

Unless you have the hi-end loom I'd recommended against it - otherwise you need to put in the replacement loom which according to my tame LR technician requires the whole dash, sub-dash and frame to be removed and re-fitted - the loom is about £150 if my memory serves me right.
Yes, you may have guessed - I looked into doing this myself - went for a TomTom 720 in the end. But I have since seen a Kenwood SatNav system that someone on this forum fitted, pics and all in his gallery. If I can find the thread I'll get back to you. LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

In my country LR service say upgrade is no possible ! Ok no possible navi but maybe possible install original LR display ? I think interesting see car info ! For example suspension work ! Mayby install rear camera,DVD TV !
