Install steering wheel controls on discovery 3
Good morning
I would like to install the original steering wheel controls on my discovery 3. Has anyone already made this change? Also I have a Piooner car stereo and I found some adapters to make them work properly. Do you know exactly how to do it?
Thanks for the patience.

If upgrading the radio with loom adaptor, you will need to take an Acc / Ign live from the rear of cigar lighter (green wire) to new radio

Why not upgrade to a D4 steering wheel if doing all of that ? Otherwise there are a few D3 wheels with switchpacks available at the moment in the for sale section. I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Thank you for sending me this video, I have already mounted a Piooner car radio and to make it work I connected it to the cigarette lighter and obviously I bought the two din adapter. Precisely to make the steering wheel controls work, what should I do? Should I buy this adapter?

you need 2 pieces of wire with a small hook on the end (about 3-4mm), insert these into the slot either side of the wheel at 9 and 3 oclock. Carefully engage the hook into the small openings and pull the hooks outwards, airbag should pop off. You can just swing the airbag upwards while you attach the switch pack and plug in the cable (mine had the cable already there ) then just push the airbag back into place.
