Infotainment version and upgrade
I have a 15 plate D4 and I was wondering if the infotainment software changed on the later models?
I saw a 65 plate D4 for sale with a newer version of the software?
Is it possible to upgrade and is it worth it?

sycove, you maye have seen a 65 Plate with the infoApps Incontrol Apps option ticked on build. This was a JLR feeble attempt to mimic Apple Car Play. Think it supports a dozen or so apps

Not sure about the incontrol apps, the 15 plate software doesn’t have the background images like the newer software

Infotainment - upgrade?
Has anyone upgraded the infotainment in the Disco 4 (65 plate onwards) to a better screen with apple play, etc?
Looking to change the outdated screen.

I installed the NaviPlus carplay set up and ran it for a couple of years. Good system and brings the system up to date, then went the whole hog and installed the Tesla type screen. Happy with it.
Both involve taking the dash apart but not too much of a challenge TBH
Search Tesla screen and Naviplus here for more (or just search carplay)
