Independent Service Agents in Sydney

I am looking for independent service agents in the Sydney area.

Locally I only have the dealer and one independent and both do not have good reputations.

My TDV6 is overdue (by time) for its cam belt change and I want to get the newer oil pump fitted and the bit of plastic in the cooling system that cracks replaced. I am not prepared to get this work done locally so am prepared to travel to Sydney to get quality work done.

Recommendations would be appreciated.

Well a month ago the guy here could not fix the brakes in a Series 2 Landrover - the owner asked me to help and we found the rear brake backing plates were round the wrong way so the adjusters were operating on the trailing shoe not the leading shoe.

Also on AULRO at the moment there is a thread about brake work being done on a Defender and a new brake pad being put in the the wrong way around so the metal was on the brake disk and the friction material on the piston.

Says it all.

Ayers Automotive in Brookvale. Used them to get car in/out TTM for an alignment, however some mixed reviews on google.

I haven't used them, but many people are happy with their performance. However, I suspect that Graeme Cooper will be easier to get to via the M5.

I used Coopers for my services when I was in Newtown and reasonable prices and knowledgeable mechanics. I would use them again. Used Davis for my chip but would prefer to go to Coopers.
Graeme Cooper sold the business a couple of years ago and Stewart owns it no but last time I was there they had the same guys working on the trucks. Take the road less traveled. Dual battery system.ORS drawers,LR cargo Barrier.ARB Bull bar,side protection bars,Mickey Thompson ATR's 17" rims, Rear wheel carrier, radiator guard TPMS Mitchell Bros Tow Hitch LR RAI Steel Rims , GME UHF, Off Road GPS, Llams (yet to be fitted)
